This position is based in Oakland, CA and will oversee multiple JSX stations in the region. Frequent travel is required between these locations and any other stations added to the Northern California Region.
About the Role:
As a General Manager within Airport Services, you are ultimately accountable for the performance, safety, and success of assigned stations. You will lead and develop Station Managers, Airport Supervisors, and Concierges to ensure operational readiness, regulatory compliance, budget discipline, and exceptional Customer experiences. This role owns both short- and long-term station performance, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, leadership development, and cross-functional collaboration.
A Day in the Life:
Your day will be dynamic and leadership-focused, centered on ensuring safe, compliant, and high-performing airport operations across your assigned region. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring Station Managers create and maintain an environment where Airport Services Concierge teams can thrive.
  • Championing safety through accountability, awareness, and communication, reinforcing safety as a core JSX value.
  • Maintaining strong working knowledge of systems, products, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Auditing station supply orders and expenses to ensure budget compliance and alignment with company standards.
  • Providing cross-functional leadership to drive strong day-to-day operational performance and on-time execution.
  • Managing assigned region needs by ensuring stations have the tools, staffing, and resources required for safe and reliable operations.
  • Setting and maintaining high standards for the appearance of facilities, equipment, and business partners.
  • Developing and managing external stakeholder relationships, including FBOs, while ensuring vendor performance is documented and addressed.
  • Reviewing and approving Station Manager expense reports and company credit card usage.
  • Partnering with Schedule Planning and Finance to support future staffing models, coverage needs, and facility planning.
  • Monitoring station-level issues surfaced in leadership meetings and ensuring timely, appropriate action.
  • Conducting ongoing needs assessments and providing proactive budget recommendations to support growth and volume changes.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing station leaders to build a strong leadership bench for the future.
  • Ensuring compliance with all FAA, TSA, DOT, and company regulations across assigned stations.
  • Traveling extensively to support stations, maintain relationships, and oversee regional operations.

  • Requirements:
  • In accordance with federal regulations, this role is open only to U.S. citizens. All candidates must successfully complete the required federal background checks and eligibility screenings. Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be eligible for employment.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years of management experience in airline operations
  • At least 4 years of airport operations experience
  • At least 5 years of face-to-face customer service experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Google Business Solutions
  • Ability to occasionally lift 75+ pounds
  • Ability to perform intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of standing
  • Available to work flexible shifts including early mornings, late nights, holidays, and weekends

  • Important Safety and Security Requirements:
    All Airport Services Crewmembers are certified as Ground Security Coordinators (GSCs), trained for customer and baggaged security screening, and are responsible for:
  • Monitoring the operational environment and reporting safety risks in real time
  • Ensuring compliance with updated policies, alerts, and regulatory guidance
  • Maintaining personal readiness for safety-sensitive duties
  • Participating in initial and random drug and alcohol screenings in accordance with DOT and FAA guidelines

  • Pay & Perks:
    Compensation is $80,000-85,000 annually. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation.
