FPFS Clinical Psychologist - Position Profile
The School of Psychology & Marriage and Family Therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary’s Pasadena, CA campus invites applications for a full-time, on-site position as a Clinical Psychologist at Fuller Psychological and Family Services (FPFS). FPFS is the clinic of the Fuller School of Psychology & Marriage and Family Therapy (SoPMFT).
The FPFS Clinical Psychologist will supervise (and be clinically responsible for the cases of) up to eight advanced Fuller doctoral students receiving their PhD or PsyD degree in the SoPMFT. Additionally, the Clinical Psychologist will oversee the group therapy activities in the clinic, supervise at least one therapy group, and participate in outreach activities. The Clinical Psychologist will also lead the recruitment of new doctoral practicum students. The Psychologist will maintain a minimum therapy caseload of 15 clients. Finally, the Clinical Psychologist will be a member of the senior staff of FPFS, directly contributing to FPFS’s strategy development and implementation. This position will report directly to the FPFS Executive Director.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborating with the FPFS Executive Director, the Clinical Psychologist will engage in the following activities:
- Supervision
- Provide weekly individual supervision, consultation, and evaluation to PhD and PsyD students
- Oversee group therapy activities within the clinic
- Lead at least one therapy group
- Provide assistance as needed to other clinic non-licensed clinicians facing challenging clinical situations
- Direct service provision to clients
- Maintain a minimum caseload of 15 therapy clients
- Recruiting and Training
- Be the lead recruiter for PhD and PsyD advanced students, and assist on recruiting postdoctoral fellows
- Provide one or more in-service didactic trainings to non-licensed FPFS clinicians
- Outreach
- Develop at least one significant partnership each year leading to a significant source of referrals to our students
- Administration
- Meet weekly with other members of the FPFS senior staff to help develop and implement the clinic’s overall mission, vision, and strategy, and plans
- Lead select project teams aimed at improving clinic operations
- Meet weekly with supervisors only to collaborate and consult on various training matters, cases, etc.
- Be available one night per seek, 5pm – 9pm.
Qualifications
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
- Licensed in California
- Knowledgeable of California laws, requirements, and ethics surrounding the provision of clinical training, supervision, and the practice of psychotherapy
- Several years of experience providing therapy services

- This is an in-person position and works out of the Pasadena, CA campus.

Pay Scale
Annual salary the seminary expects to pay: $75,000 - $80,000 USD
