Position Title: Senior Scheduler

This is a long-term, full-time, onsite position located in Sacramento, CA.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to, the following
- Provide schedule development, maintenance of schedule data and reporting.
- Identify, develop, and correlate program schedule activities with associated design plans.
- Provide detail for schedule activities based on design plans to reflect the duration and the basis of the duration for construction of element activities.
- Update schedule data and durations as necessary and as design progresses to identify the basis for construction of element durations.
- Provide periodic updates and documentation to the Program/Project Controls.
- Manage progress, schedule duration changes, and duration verification basis.
- Provide schedule assumptions and general basis for schedule development.
- Identify key items which may not be included in structure schedules (such as utility relocations, environmental and or seasonal restrictions, or procurements).
- Perform review and analysis of current in-progress schedules for correlation with future, planned construction schedules (current construction duration estimates vs. future planned construction duration estimates).
- Perform review and analysis of schedules for reliability, risk identification, risk review, and risk assessments.
- Provide recommendations for increased schedule reliability.
- Identify longest path and critical schedule items.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- 8+ years' progressive experience in project scheduling or similar role for heavy civil rail and roadway transportation projects, including full CPM baseline development, resource or cost loading, and progress updating.
- Experience scheduling for large programs (e.g., $500M+) utilizing quality and risk-based thinking.
- Ability to Identify and document associated schedule risks and provide recognizable and understandable work activities and sequences
- Experience conducting critical path and variance analyses, preparing Time Impact Analyses, and quantifying schedule risk using Monte Carlo or similar methods.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), resource planning, and cashflow management.
- Proficiency with schedule risk analysis tools (e.g. Primavera Risk, Deltek Acumen Fuse, @Risk, etc.)
- Experience with Primavera P6.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in construction management, quantity surveying, or engineering.
- Active professional certifications such as PSP or PMI-SP (AACE or PMI).
- Demonstrated success in this role as an owners representative on large civil infrastructure programs is strongly preferred.
- Experience with alternative delivery methods (e.g., DB, CM/GC, P3) to include an understanding of the implications of each for schedule governance and reporting.
- Experience in rail and rail systems construction, rail and roadway tunnel construction, rail and roadway bridge construction, retaining wall systems and other systems and structures associated with the operation of a railway.
- Experience in developing detailed construction schedules from preliminary and/or conceptual plans, develop and document basis of schedule development
- Experience preparing and defending complex Time Impact Analyses, delay claims, and recovery plans before owners, contractors, and dispute boards.
- Forensic CPM scheduling skills regarding analyzing delay claims, including the use of forensic scheduling software (e.g., Acumen Fuse, Schedule Cracker, Project Analyzer, etc.)
- Experience with TILOS and linear scheduling.
- Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms for building interactive schedule dashboards and KPI visualizations.
Compensation Details
Expected Salary: $176k-$240k/year ($85-$115/hour). Luster provides the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might offer for this position based on the successful candidates level of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, certifications, licenses, geographic location, etc. Luster reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range depending on circumstances not related to any status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
