Overview
As a construction document controls specialist, You`ll manage, organize, and maintain all project documentation throughout the lifecycle of a construction project. You`ll ensure that project teams have accurate, timely, and accessible information, supporting efficient communication, compliance, and project execution. You`ll work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to uphold document control standards and best practices.
Hourly Pay: $35-$50 per hour based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer the project’s document control system, ensuring all documents are properly logged, tracked, and archived.
- Manage incoming and outgoing project documentation, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
- Ensure version control and proper distribution of updated documents to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support team members in using document control software and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Generate reports, logs, and dashboards to support project tracking and compliance.
- Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project standards before distribution.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business administration, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in document control, construction administration, or project coordination.
- Experience with construction documentation and workflows is strongly preferred
