Job Description
Clinical Manager – Eagle House
A story about leadership, healing, and the courage to help children rebuild their worlds.
Some jobs ask you to show up. This one asks you to make an impact.
At The Village, our story began more than a century ago, when we opened our doors to children who had nowhere else to go. We were one of the first agencies in the nation to say, “Every child deserves safety, dignity, and a chance to thrive.” That belief has carried us through generations — and today, it fuels a vibrant, mission-driven organization serving families across Greater Hartford.
We’ve grown, evolved, and expanded our services, but our purpose has never wavered: to build a community of strong, healthy families who protect and nurture children.
And now, we’re looking for a Clinical Manager who feels that purpose in their bones.
Where Your Story Meets Theirs: Eagle House
Eagle House is not just a program — it’s a turning point.
Inside this Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, children ages 6–12 arrive carrying more than backpacks. They carry trauma, fear, and the weight of experiences no child should have to hold. Some come straight from inpatient hospitalization. Others arrive because they need a safe alternative to locked care.
But once they walk through our doors, something shifts. They find structure. They find support. They find adults who believe in them. And slowly, they begin to believe in themselves.
Weekly home visits help them practice new skills. A therapeutic milieu surrounds them with consistency and compassion. And a dedicated team works tirelessly to help each child reclaim their sense of possibility.
This is where you come in.
The Role You’ll Play
As Clinical Manager, you become both anchor and guide.
You’ll lead a team consisting of 5 Clinicians as well as a Clinical Supervisor who oversees a Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator, 2 Family Support Specialist and 1 Case Managers and Interns
who look to you for clarity, mentorship, and steady leadership. You’ll shape treatment plans that help children heal. You’ll support staff through crises, celebrate their wins, and help them grow into their best professional selves.
You’ll collaborate with the Program Director to keep the program running smoothly — from staffing to budgeting to compliance. You’ll represent The Village in community spaces, strengthen partnerships, and help us imagine what’s possible next.
You will also operate as a member of our program multi-disciplinary operational leadership team.
Most importantly, you’ll help create an environment where children feel safe enough to try again, trust again, and hope again.
Experience and Skills
What You Bring
You’ve spent years in the clinical world — at least five providing services and at least three guiding others. You’re licensed in Connecticut (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist), and you know how to balance compassion with accountability.
You’re organized, flexible, and steady under pressure. You’re comfortable with technology and documentation. You’re culturally responsive and maybe even bilingual. You’re the kind of leader who listens deeply, communicates clearly, and shows up fully.
Why The Village
Because here, you’re not just taking a job. You’re joining a community.
A Connecticut Top Workplace for six straight years. A nationally recognized leader in culture, equity, and inclusion. A place where your growth matters as much as your expertise.
We offer a starting salary of $82,000, full-time hours Monday–Friday, and a team that genuinely cares about the work — and about each other.
If this feels like the next chapter in your story…
We’d love to meet you. The children at Eagle House are waiting for someone like you — someone who sees beyond the behaviors, beyond the diagnoses, and into the heart of who they can become.
