Position Summary
The Manager, Data & Analytics leads a team responsible for delivering trusted, scalable, and actionable data insights that support operational, strategic, and product decision-making across CAQH. This role oversees the development of analytics products, including dashboards, semantic data models, and advanced analyses, while promoting modern data practices such as governed self-service analytics, standardized metrics, and AI-enabled insights.

The Manager partners closely with business leaders, product teams, data engineering, and governance functions to ensure that data assets are reliable, accessible, and aligned with enterprise priorities. This position also helps evolve CAQH’s analytics capabilities by introducing scalable tooling, improving data literacy, and establishing repeatable analytics frameworks that enable stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.


This is a full-time, exempt, remote position reporting to the Senior Vice President, Data and Analytics.

Specific Responsibilities

Analytics Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead a team of analysts responsible for delivering dashboards, analytical models, and decision-support reporting.
  • Oversee the end-to-end analytics lifecycle including intake, requirements gathering, semantic modeling, dashboard design, validation, and deployment.
  • Ensure analytics outputs are scalable, governed, and aligned with enterprise data models and business definitions.
  • Promote adoption of modern analytics tools and AI-assisted workflows to accelerate insight generation and improve productivity.

Data Products & Business Impact

  • Partner with business and product leaders to translate organizational goals into measurable KPIs, metrics frameworks, and analytics products.
  • Guide the design of dashboards and analytics assets that support operational performance monitoring, executive reporting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure insights delivered by the team are actionable and tied to measurable business outcomes.
  • Support recurring executive reporting cycles and enterprise performance reviews.

Data Governance & Trust

  • Promote adoption of standardized metrics, semantic models, and consistent data definitions across the organization.
  • Partner with data engineering and governance teams to improve data quality, observability, and documentation across the analytics ecosystem.
  • Ensure dashboards and analytical outputs adhere to established governance, privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Support initiatives related to data cataloging, lineage visibility, and metadata management.

Stakeholder Engagement & Data Literacy

  • Serve as a strategic partner to business stakeholders by helping teams understand how to use data effectively.
  • Facilitate KPI definition workshops, metric alignment discussions, and analytics roadmapping sessions.
  • Develop documentation, playbooks, and training resources that improve data literacy and enable self-service analytics.
  • Act as a bridge between business teams and technical data platform teams to ensure analytical needs are met.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development support to help team members grow their technical and business skills.
  • Promote a collaborative team culture focused on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with hiring and onboarding new analytics talent as the team grows.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of the modern analytics lifecycle, including data modeling, semantic layers, dashboard design, validation, and analytics product development.
  • Expertise in business intelligence platforms such as Power BI or Tableau, including visualization design and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with structured datasets for advanced analysis, segmentation, and cohort analysis.
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and analytics best practices within modern data platforms.
  • Experience translating complex business problems into structured analytical approaches.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics tools, automated insights, or advanced analytics workflows is a plus

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related data roles.
  • 1-3 years of experience managing or leading analytics teams.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise KPIs, performance dashboards, and decision-support analytics.
  • Experience collaborating with data engineering teams and working with modern cloud data platforms is preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare data, provider data, or healthcare operations analytics is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree in analytics, data science, public health, or business analytics preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (Azure), data governance, or analytics platforms are a plus.

The pay range for this role is:
