As a trusted advisor you will use a diverse skillset to serve the large and small airports of the aviation industry with the support of a collaborative and team-oriented environment among other driven professionals. Dedicated to advancing airport and aviation design and infrastructure through innovative design and exceptional project management, we are looking for driven and talented individuals to join our team in an integrated role of Architect and Project Manager, focusing on aviation-related projects.
Qualifications
RS&H is currently seeking a principal architect to join our aviation architecture team in Tampa, FL. This position will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote. As part of the Buildings team, you'll serve an integral role in the firm as a discipline leader, subject matter expert, and technical resource for discipline and related program activities, including active participation in quality improvement and assurance. This position will define structural or project elements and processes to meet client needs; participate in and coordinate preparation of bids; promote and maintain client relationships; lead projects and coordinate with project management to execute project plans and directly supervise the teams' design and technical delivery; promote and maintains client relationships through all project phases and serve as a firm ambassador to win new work; recommend new practices or changes in emphasis; and lead the development and application of company-wide standard operating procedures and technical requirements for projects and discipline deliverables. - Have a degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited program or equivalent experience.
- Have 15 years' relevant experience and be recognized as a thought leader. This includes prior experience leading the work of multiple disciplines.
- Possess an active license in good standing and demonstrate knowledge of state and local building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and other relevant ordinances.
- Be proficient in production software and construction document production.
- Have proven ability to make decisions that have significant impact to an organization, as well as recommend operational strategies and plans with direct impact on results.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with senior leadership on matters of strategic importance.
- Have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
