This is a role for our Miami Branch. The Superintendent - Concrete will be responsible for expediting, project management, inspection, and logistics management tasks.
Responsibilities
We are currently hiring a Superintendent - Concrete with a passion for building! We love creative problem solvers, leaders, and innovators. We value our field and give you the autonomy to run the project. Here are a few items you will be responsible for:
- Lead all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control, and a clean site.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments, including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections.
- Maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects the changes in project status and that meets the cost and time requirements of the project.
- Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations, and any deviation in the direction of the project.
- Always promotes positive relationships by dealing expertly and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors while instilling this philosophy in the project team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent - Concrete with a reputable General Contractor or Construction Subcontractor in both a union and non-union environment
- heavy concrete/shell construction
- Experience in managing, training, and developing people
- Ability to lead 1-3 smaller projects at a time
- Strong communication skills and a desire to grow with a growing organization
