General Summary:

The Commercial Director is responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships across Ace Electric’s trade ecosystem, including construction peers, OEMs, distributors, engineers, and key accounts. This role supports the alignment of Ace Electric’s end-to-end offerings with valued partners to create mutually beneficial outcomes that accelerate growth and elevate customer experience. The Commercial Director will report to the President of Corporate Support.

Preferred Job Skills:

  • Experience in commercial electrical or construction industries (preferred).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build trust-based relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
  • High level of professional integrity and business acumen.
  • Able to maintain discretion with sensitive business or personnel information.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for partner meetings and industry events.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership Development:

  • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with trade partners, subcontractors, and strategic accounts.
  • Serve as a liaison between Ace Electric and external partners to ensure aligned goals and shared success.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement partnership strategies that support business growth and client satisfaction.

Operational and Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (estimating, operations, project management, etc.) to integrate partner capabilities into project execution.
  • Coordinate with procurement and vendor management teams to leverage strategic sourcing opportunities.
  • Ensure partner alignment during project planning and execution phases to maximize effectiveness of resources.

Reporting and Strategy:

  • Track and report on partnership KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), pipeline health, and collaborative project outcomes.
  • Contribute to annual strategic planning by identifying industry trends and partnership-driven growth opportunities.
  • Support leadership with insight into partnership performance and potential scalability.


Position Requirements:

  • License: Valid state driver's license as required by job conditions or by the company.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, construction management or related field.
  • Travel: 60% Travel will be required (3 days a week).

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a climate-controlled office setting with varying degrees of stress and time pressure.
  • Considerable amount of time making repetitive motions, sitting, using telephone and computer.
  • Sounds and noise levels may be distracting or uncomfortable.

Required Physical/Mental Functions:

  • Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Handbook.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from contracts, technical documentation, policies and partner communications.
  • Must hear and see well (either natural or with correction).
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead.
  • Able to lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 5 pounds.
  • Tolerant to prolonged sitting.
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
