What You Will Do
- Train and direct the activities of axiUm support staff as they address the needs of SDM faculty, students, postdoctoral students, staff, and administrators, including work with confidential patient information in HIPAA-protected areas.
- Serve as the primary project manager for researching, developing, testing, and implementing new axiUm® modules and features that support the SDM clinical information system.
- Advise the Assistant Dean for IT on the advantages and disadvantages of available new axiUm features.
- Direct and manage current and future user security access configurations, including analysis, revision, and development of access for new users.
- Design, develop, and present training modules for all SDM axiUm user levels, including revising materials with each axiUm software upgrade.
- Develop and revise forms and reports to support patient management and communication needs for faculty, staff, students, and administrators.
- Direct and assist axiUm support staff in troubleshooting and resolving user-identified configuration issues within axiUm.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- Any one or any combination totaling 5 years (60 months) from the following categories:
- College coursework which includes Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT Systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
- Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
- 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
- Bachelor's Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
- Work experience in IT-related functions such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field, which includes supervisory or lead worker capacity.
- College coursework which includes Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT Systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- Based on position requirements, additional education, training, and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position may be required.
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of work experience
- 2 + years of supervisory experience
- 2 + years direct experience in the configuration, deployment, security, and maintenance of axiUm database systems.
- 2 + years of direct experience with database programming and design is required.
- 2 + years of experience with axiUm forms, reports, and configuration development.
- 2 + years of experience with training users in axiUm.
- 2 + years experience with Microsoft Operating Systems and MS Office Suite
