Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineering CAD Intern to join our civil engineering team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers on private land development projects, focusing primarily on commercial and industrial site development. In this role you will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final project deliverables. Key Responsibilities Include: 

 

Quality Assurance:

  • Monitor the production and quality assurance of team members
  • Conduct initial quality control (QC) of CAD deliverables according to standards and best practices
  •  

Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate with your supervisor to ensure client-specific demands and expectations are being met
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with office staff to facilitate project completion
  •  

Project Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with engineers and designers on detailed civil engineering designs for land development projects
  • Prepare site development plans, specifications, and cost estimates under the guidance of the Project Manager
  •  

Technical Analysis:

  • Conduct technical analyses and calculations for civil engineering projects
  • Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and other engineering tools to create and review design drawings
  • Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards
  •  


Qualifications



  • Enrollment in a 2 or 4-year Civil Engineering, Geomatics or relevant program
  • GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • A positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn and grow 

Summer Internship will run May 18th until August 7th.
