Responsibilities
Your Impact at SAM
- Assist with fieldwork using 3D laser scanners, LiDAR, drones, and related equipment
- Help set up equipment, targets, and control points at job sites
- Capture accurate scan data according to project requirements
- Transfer, organize, and manage large data files
- Registration of point cloud data
- 2D and 3D Drafting from LiDAR point clouds
- Assist with basic drafting/modeling tasks in CAD or BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.),
- Perform quality checks on data for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper handling and storage
Qualifications
What you bring to SAM
- Currently enrolled in a program related to building information modeling, construction management, construction engineering, mechanical engineering, or architecture
- GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Strong interest in 3D technology
- Familiarity with CAD, BIM, GIS or point cloud
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn!
