Position Overview:
As a Team Leader at Weaver Popcorn Manufacturing, you’ll provide hands-on leadership for a production line while setting the standard for safety, quality, performance, and teamwork. This role is ideal for a strong floor leader who can make sound decisions, communicate clearly, and lead by example while living out the Weaver Culture every day.

Key Responsibilities:
Champion a safety-first environment
- Lead by example in enforcing safety policies, SOPs, and safe work practices
- Proactively identify hazards, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Maintain a clean, organized production area throughout the shift
- Ensure sanitation standards are met and verified at shift close
- Hold the team accountable for safety expectations and escalate unresolved concerns to EH&S leadership to support zero OSHA recordables
Protect product integrity and our brand
- Ensure GMPs, food safety, and sanitation requirements are followed at all times
- Verify sanitation completion and startup documentation prior to production
- Respond to quality events through Safety Chain, leading investigations and corrective actions
- Perform routine line checks and confirm documentation accuracy
- Support monthly quality training to strengthen team awareness and compliance
Keep the lines running strong
- Plan ahead for staffing, materials, and equipment readiness
- Monitor OEE, downtime, scrap, and performance trends to drive real-time improvements
- Ensure accurate downtime tracking in LEDS and completion of End-of-Shift reports
- Clearly document issues, root causes, and corrective actions
Build capability, engagement, and accountability
- Supervise and coach team members and Line Leads through feedback, recognition, and performance management
- Lead effective pre-shift meetings focused on safety, quality, production goals, and alignment
- Encourage cross-training and skill development
- Track attendance, support disciplinary processes, and foster engagement consistent with Weaver values
Work cross-functionally to drive results
- Partner with Maintenance, Sanitation, and Quality teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Participate in Continuous Improvement efforts, WME initiatives, and improvement projects
- Communicate across shifts to ensure smooth transitions and consistent execution
Use data to guide decisions
- Utilize AS400 for scheduling, inventory, BOMs, scrap reporting, and reconciliation
- Create clear downtime reports outlining issues, actions taken, and ownership
- Use Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, LEDS, Safety Chain, and Windows-based systems for daily communication and reporting
Additional Responsibilities
- Serve as backup to the Department Manager as needed
- Support conflict resolution to maintain a positive and accountable work environment
- Apply basic problem-solving tools and monitor line-level losses (scrap, downtime, waste)
- Maintain and update skill matrices

- Must be able to read, write, and understand English to perform job duties effectively and safely.
- High school diploma or GED required, associate or technical degree preferred.
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food or CPG.
- Strong understanding of food safety, quality standards, and production KPIs.
- Effective communicator with solid decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and lead a team.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills while actively supporting and driving change.
