| Job Summary | Kentucky Cancer Program (KCP) at the University of Kentucky, Markey Cancer Center is recruiting a Cancer Control Specialist III, Regional (RCCS III). The RCCS III will conduct planning and implementation of cancer prevention and screening education activities and services throughout counties located in the western-portion of the Bluegrass Area Development District (ADD): Franklin, Woodford, Anderson, Jessamine, Mercer, Boyle, Garrard and Lincoln. Additionally, this role supervises KCP’s Community Health Worker (CHW) staff and oversees CHW program activities which aim to increase access to cancer screening and care within communities of greatest need in the greater-Lexington area of Kentucky. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of community engagement, public health, and familiarity with the Bluegrass ADD. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with community partners and our dedicated community and outreach staff, providing leadership and facilitation of cancer control activities, education, service, and research support that align with the goals of the Markey Cancer Center. This role will also and provide program management assistance to KCP’s director. This position will be located within the Bluegrass Area Development District region and the selected candidate must be a resident of the one of the following counties: Franklin, Woodford, Anderson, Jessamine, Mercer, Boyle, Garrard, Lincoln or Fayette County.
