| Job Summary | The Markey Cancer Center is recruiting a Laboratory Technician to work in a wet lab performing technical lab assistance including: data management and analysis, cell culture, RNA isolation and PCR, western blot, plasmid amplification and DNA purification, ELISA and IHC staining. Organizing and analysis of data using Excel or Photoshop; a major focus and attention to detail on maintaining a large colony of transgenic mouse models which would involve careful monitoring, genotyping and treatment protocols; lab maintenance, ensure compliance with general lab safety guidelines along with UK and government regulations; and must be able to keep an accurate and detailed scientific notebook both hard copy and electronic.
