| Job Summary | The Facilities Management Medical Center Maintenance Operations Manager performs an integral role within the University HealthCare Enterprise. Reporting to the Associate Director, Facilities Management Medical Center, this position provides leadership and strategic planning of all function’s operations to the Medical Center Maintenance Program and ensures a safe environment for patients, employees, students, and visitors. This position delivers administrative and leadership direction for managing the 24/7 facilities operations of the UK HealthCare Hospitals, along with ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and University regulations. In addition, the Facilities Management Medical Center Maintenance Operations Manager oversees the supervision, training, and development of the maintenance staff serving the UK HealthCare Hospitals and Medical Center facilities as well as fosters excellent working relationships with internal and external professionals to ensure objectives are met and exceeded. Financial administration, including funding, budgeting, and costing is another key aspect of this role. Special projects and other duties may be assigned by senior management. |
| Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | MS Windows; SAP; KRONOS; Principles of Accounting; Business Procedures, Practices, and Policies. Driver’s License Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) — Preferred ASHE Certified Healthcare Manager — Preferred Demonstrated experience in Facilities Management – University HealthCare and Medical Center environment; Preventative Maintenance, Hospital Operations; Demonstrated ability to implement strategic initiatives, foster an environment of customer orientation, build relationships, and manage maintenance teams in a Facilities Management – University HealthCare and Medical Center environment. Knowledge of Safety and Environmental Compliance Statutes; Building and Construction Codes, Systems, Automation, and Maintenance. Experience with The Joint Commission |
