Job Summary
This is a great opportunity to join the University of Kentucky Supply Center as a Storekeeper Senior! We are seeking a detail oriented, customer service minded individual to work in a warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Will be primarily responsible for receiving materials at the UK Supply Center warehouse located at 1247 Versailles Road in Lexington, Kentucky.
  • Unloading trucks using heavy equipment.
  • Attention to details and has advanced critical thinking skills.
  • Inspecting incoming materials for correctness and damage.
  • Maintain and complete varying workload requirements according to priority.
  • Once the inbound freight is received properly mark and stage for delivery.
  • Research and troubleshoot problem packages.
  • Respond to all electronic, written and verbal communication in a timely manner.
  • Assist with pulling materials for orders and putting away stock.
  • Assist in other warehouse functions when time is available, make routine deliveries throughout campus, and perform vendor pick-ups when needed.


Required Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of warehouse procedures and best practices, with extensive experience applying both.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with consistent follow-through.
  • Comfortable using technology, including computers, scanners, and smartphones.
  • Familiarity with Facilities personnel and how their needs change day to day.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Microsoft Office, SAP, analytical skills, experience driving a box truck, forklift, or reach truck.
