Purpose:

The IT Help Desk Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of functions in accordance with departmental procedures and guidelines. Perform single point of contact duties to support the customer (end user). Evaluate, categorize, prioritize and attend to help desk tickets/calls. Extend IT knowledge database with solutions to incidents and problems. Mainly perform 1st level IT Help Desk support activities. Also act as the first backup and roll-over position for IT Help Desk Administrative Associate responsibilities.

 

 

Job Functions/Accountabilities:

  • First escalation for operational issues.
  • Maintain and support IT equipment.
  • Provides computer instruction to users to improve their skills and efficiency and provide new hire training to all new employees, including users in remote locations.
  • Responsible for setting up new equipment (for new employees or as part of the regular hardware refresh) based on pre-defined organizational procedures and using industry-standard imaging technology.
  • Assists with the inventory of all IT equipment.
  • Consults with users in identifying problems and determining solutions, including users’ remote locations.
  • Continuously seeks ways to improve performance of operations and ensures that customers' (both internal and external) needs are met.
  • Adhere to the quality system.
  • Support compliance to company standards such as JSOX and ISO
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by the IT Infrastructure Manager or Director of IT. (Note: these duties will be deemed essential or marginal based on content.
  • Utilize real-time monitoring tools and threat intelligence to identify and respond to suspicious activities promptly.
  • Enforce least privilege principles, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and robust identity governance to protect sensitive resources

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Education and Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Relevant Cisco, Microsoft, or other industry-related certifications preferred 

 

Experience:

  • 1-2 years Computer/Information Technology – Systems Administration experience required. 

 

Special Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills are required. 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is crucial. 
  • Proficiency in analytical & problem solving skills are required.
