The role may be hybrid-based from one of our offices in Little Rock, Fort Smith, or Fayetteville, Arkansas; Cushing or Lawton, Oklahoma; Branson or Lebanon, Missouri; or Portland, Maine. The position is also open to fully remote candidates based in Texas.

POSITION SUMMARY
Develops and prepares revenue requirements, cost of service studies and other rate and regulatory filings in order to achieve Summit Utilities, Inc. strategies, goals and objectives. Extensively reviews analysis and participates in the formulation of law, rules and policy at the state and federal level. Provides work direction to junior professional and clerical staff.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates the implementation of rate changes and the administration of existing rates and tariffsPerforms the planning and preparation of required regulatory reports, annual compliance filings, data responses, ordered compliance filings and other similar non-rate case filingsLead and/or assist team members in assembling, analyzing, and reviewing rate change proposals associated with purchased gas adjustment and demand cost filingsMaintains compliance with all applicable requirements concerning rates, gas costs and tariff-related mattersPrepares or assists with preparation of regulatory filings including testimony, schedules, work papers, requests for information and briefs on a timely basis and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirementsGathers and analyzes financial information and operating statistics and their impacts for the development of regulatory strategiesPrepares major rate and regulatory projectsMonitors and communicates to senior management key developments in rate and regulatory matters that directly or indirectly impact Summit Utilities, or its business environmentRepresents Summit Utilities’ interests at the Arkansas Public Service Commission and Oklahoma Corporation Commission in proceedings and dealings with regional trade, industry and professional organizations Works closely with industry associations to coordinate industry responses to key rate and regulatory issuesEstablishes and maintains communications with members of the various Summit Utilities departments Works with other departments relative to identifying and researching current issues or trends affecting regulatory environmentAttends workshops and conferences to monitor regulatory proceedings to identify trends, issues, or decisions which might affect Company's regulatory objectives.EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in business or finance/accounting; MBA desiredMinimum of five (5) years’ experience in rate or regulatory mattersMinimum of five years’ experience with financial systemsPrevious experience in the natural gas industry desirableKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
