Job Summary:
This position provides integrated engineering support across additive manufacturing, systems engineering, and fleet operations within a government-led Integrated Product Team (IPT). The role focuses on assisting in the development of Technical Data Packages (TDPs), design standards, and associated technical documentation to enable advanced manufacturing initiatives. It includes supporting the definition, documentation, and validation of requirements from Technical Warrant Holders, as well as designing test equipment and procedures to verify additive manufacturing solutions. Additionally, the position contributes to compiling and distributing design recommendations and standards for fleet-wide implementation, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance across platforms.
Essential Job Functions:
The role serves as a key coordination point between fleet customers, technical experts, and government IPT members. Responsibilities include supporting requirements definition, maintaining fleet-facing data systems and interfaces, and aligning product requirements with acquisition strategies. The position also interfaces with supply and logistics organizations to support degrader candidate projects and broader sustainment efforts. This position also actively soliciting requirements, assisting in the design of aviation components, tools, fixtures, and job aids, and identifying program risks while developing and communicating mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
Requirements:- Secret clearance may be required
- Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s degree
- Systems Engineering and system requirements development experience
- Must have familiarity working in CAD, preferably SOLIDWORKS
- Additive Manufacturing knowledge with experience in CURA or INSIGHT
Preferred Qualifications:
- Team Leadership skills
- Product Design background
- Navy Fleet support experience
- Modeling, Simulation, FEA familiarity
- Design and Analysis abilities
- Project Management knowledge
- Demonstrated experience with NAVAIR and Naval Air Systems Command
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to learn and apply new information and/or skills. Must be able to interpret data, information, and documents.
- Occasionally will need to lift/and or move up to 20lbs.
