A3 Consulting, LLC is seeking a seasoned and visionary ServiceNow Technical Lead & Solutions Architect to serve as the chief technical authority on a line of development for a mission-critical DoD Insider Threat application who will translate strategic objectives into a cohesive technical reality. This leadership position is responsible for the architectural integrity, technical excellence, and successful delivery of a complex solution. In this job you will:
- Lead and own the end-to-end technical architecture of the designated capabilities for the DSATS application, from high-level design to detailed implementation.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance for data migration activities, ensuring alignment with system architecture and integration patterns.
- Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to define data mapping, transformation logic, validation, and reconciliation approaches.
- Serve as the Technical Solutions Architect, providing guidance to the Program Manager, stakeholders, and the Development Team on all technical matters.
- Align the technical strategy for designated capabilities with concurrent development efforts, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, develop best practices, and a robust peer-review process to ensure the delivery of high-quality, enterprise-grade code.
- Mentor junior and mid-level Developers, fostering their growth and ensuring alignment with the architectural vision and engineering standards.
- Architect and lead the development of robust, secure, and performant API integrations with external DoD systems (e.g., DISS, DEERS, DCII).
- Engineer solutions leveraging ServiceNow Integration Hub, REST/SOAP web services, and other integration technologies to create a seamless data fabric.
- Personally develop the most complex application components, including custom script includes, APIs, and business rules, setting the standard for the team.
- Ensure the architectural design inherently supports all DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls and DISA STIGs to streamline the path to Authority to Operate (ATO).
- Act as the primary technical point of contact during security assessments, confidently articulating how the system's design meets stringent DoD security requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or architectural role.
- Proven experience architecting and delivering custom applications on the ServiceNow PSDS platform within a DoD or federal environment.
- Expert-level proficiency with API development and integration, including hands-on experience with REST/SOAP, JSON/XML, and ServiceNow Integration Hub.
- Working knowledge of data migration principles, including data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation strategies within enterprise systems.
- Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring a technical team and establishing development best practices.
- Deep understanding of the DoD RMF and experience designing systems to achieve ATO.
- One or more advanced ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist).
Desired Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) is highly desired.
- Experience with advanced platform capabilities such as Performance Analytics, Predictive Intelligence (AI/ML), and scoped application development.
- Direct experience with DoD systems engineering processes, including JCIDS.
- Familiarity with the specific data and APIs of DoD personnel, vetting, and security systems (e.g., DISS, DEERS, etc.).
- Experience working with ETL tools and data pipeline.
- Experience supporting or collaborating on data migration efforts in complex enterprise or federal environment.
Clearance Level:
- Active Top Secret
Salary range:
- The salary range of this position is $170,000 - $190,000 commensurate with experience and achievement.
Location:
- Remote
- Occasional onsite possible - Crystal City, VA, Springfield, VA, or Ft. Meade
