Responsibilities
The Contracts Manager is responsible for managing the overall contract obligation activities, including reporting, compliance, and penalties, for NWN to both strategic and non-strategic contract organizations. This role includes managing customer relationship throughout all engagement phases, establishing reasonable customer expectations through proactive and consistent communication and reporting, and helping customers realize their full potential with NWN by strengthening client relationships and improving the overall customer experience.
- The Contracts Manager role is responsible for the oversight and management of strategic and non-strategic public sector contract vehicles (as assigned) and associated obligations.
- Managing customer (State) relationships throughout ALL post-award engagement phases. Establishing reasonable expectations through proactive and consistent communication and reporting. o Ensure visibility of such issues with Management and include high-level summary with "management reporting that highlights compliance issues as well as opportunities. o Report all Contract Compliance issues to Manager of Public Sector Contract Compliance in a timely manner.
- Serve as a liaison between the State Oversight Agency (for assigned contract) and Finance, PMO, Customer Success and Offerings teams. Support and report to Manager of Public Sector Contract Compliance.
- Understanding the SLA's, Terms & Conditions, and User Instructions in a manner that allows for: o Clear and effective internal and external communications. o Understanding the "Intent” of contract and confirm compliant requirements. o Prompt and effective problem resolutions. o Making SLA compliance visible with documents reported to Supervisor at least monthly
- Ensuring NWN Prime Contracts include customer success services, part numbers and "Not-to-Exceed pricing” that facilitate easy but flexible procurement.
- Maintaining an appropriate level of technical and business knowledge. Understands the changing IT landscape and continues to expand knowledge of the industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience. Required
- 3-5 years of related experience in related area as an individual contributor. Required
- Extensive knowledge of the public sector contracts and department processes.
- Strong understanding of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations.
- Experience working in a multi-site, multi-disciplined matrix organization.
- Possess a hands-on approach and be self-directed.
- Excellent communication skill, both written and oral.
- Comfortable, poised, and affable with senior level and/or C level executives, including NWN management.
- Must have the ability to develop and execute efficient and repeatable business processes.
- Self-starter with a bias towards action and personal accountability.
