Job Summary
Description:

Our company is a leading manufacturer of handheld threat detection products. We are seeking an Assembler to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about producing high-quality products and have previous experience working in an assembly line environment. 

  

Responsibilities:

  • Build a variety of electromechanical sub-assemblies and assemblies.
  • Ability to perform point to point wiring and proper cable routing.
  • Perform production builds according to procedures, specifications, and instructions.
  • Use various mechanical and precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches and calipers.
  • Proficient in component and wire soldering, certification a plus.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing discrepancies with a focus on continuous improvement and      quality.
  • Ability to identify process problems and make clear recommendations for improvement.
  • Have a sound understanding of assembly techniques.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, Excel – Word.

Requirements:

  

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in an assembly line environment preferred.
  • Read and understand assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, mechanical prints, and detailed work      instructions.
  • Use of common hand tools, screwdrivers, nut drivers, wrenches.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and cleanliness with hands-on-work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Driven to learn.
