Responsibilities
While RS&H was founded in 1941, we have been providing construction management services as one of our primary business practices since 1984. RS&H’s Transportation-Construction Management Practice serves numerous state departments of transportation, mobility/transportation authorities, turnpike/toll authorities, rail/port authorities, municipal/county governments, and private clients throughout the United States. Our Construction Engineering and Inspections (CEI) teams as well as our Construction Management teams are industry leading experts who provide a full range of construction engineering, program management, specialized testing, and inspection services from the preconstruction phase through maintenance and operations. Qualifications
RS&H is currently seeking a Field Representative Trainee / Office Technician Trainee to join our Construction Management team in Novi, MI. This position may work in-office, remotely, or in a hybrid environment, depending on project needs. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals interested in beginning a career in construction or engineering administration. The Field Representative Trainee will observe and participate in the documentation of construction progress and provide administrative and technical support to project teams. ResponsibilitiesThe Field Representative Trainee will assist with:Reviewing construction documentation for compliance with contract requirementsProducing reports and assisting with verifying quantity calculations and field measurements for payment purposesPreparing and processing routine construction contract changesReviewing and managing contract documentationTracking materials acceptance, project progress, final estimate processing, and EEO complianceProviding general administrative and quality support to construction project teamsPerforming other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentStrong organizational and attention-to-detail skillsProficiency with standard office and word processing software (Microsoft Office)Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently with general supervision and within a collaborative team environmentAbility to sit, stand, bend, twist, or stoop for prolonged periodsAbility to lift and/or move up to 25 poundsPreferred:
