Job Summary
Purchasing Data Specialist

American Rheinmetall provides full services for complex mechanical products, fabricated structures and systems that range from complete design services to prototype manufacturing, testing, production launch, full rate production and product service and sustainment. American Rheinmetall provides quality products and services at affordable prices through a lean organizational structure and four facilities, three in Michigan that span 910,000 square feet, and one in Ohio, that span 800,000+ square feet. The Plymouth, MI facility serves as corporate headquarters and specializes in suspension, driveline, and track systems. The Lansing and Lapeer Michigan based facilities specialize in fabrications and armor product solutions. American Rheinmetall's St. Mary's, Ohio facility manufactures rubber track products for agricultural, construction, and defense industries.
Summary supports purchasing department by tracking purchases, keeping supplier certifications up to date and compliant and reviewing raw materials and market data.

Essential duties and Responsibilities includes the following but. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Purchase Order Tracking
  • Run Weekly reports from the MRP system of all (3) Michigan plants for all open purchase orders.
  • Validate that suppliers received the purchase orders and confirm the expected delivery date. Furthermore, follow up 4 weeks before delivery to assure delivery will still be timely. e Elevate any lack of supplier correspondence according to corporate policy. r Coordinate with plant receiving when parts have arrived but are not checked into the plant properly, elevate accordingly when not accomplished.
  • Supplier Certification Update and Compliance o IATF t6949,1509001:2015, and all SAM's compliance data will be controlled and updated through this position.
  • New suppliers will be required to have this information before activation. o Expired certifications will be notified to this position with the responsibility of obtaining the
  • Updates certifications from the supplier.
  • Raw Material and Market Data Analysis, Monthly run updated pricing charts for all necessary material indexes.
  • Assist Purchasing Buyers with any material analysis as required.
  • Monthly review and report outlook on all necessary materials.
  • Report monthly on all market segments deemed necessary by leadership.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experiences. A general understanding of finance and experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel needed.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software; Word Processing software and Adobe Acrobat software. Knowledge of Solid Edge software (CAD) is highly desired.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
