Program Duration
Our internship program runs approximately 40 hours per week, from June 1st through mid-August.
The Impact You Will Have
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is seeking an Intern - Strategic Programs to join our Execution & Value Delivery team!
In this role, you will support our Operational Excellence initiatives by helping build and streamline key strategy‑driven tools and processes. You'll collaborate with team members to consolidate SharePoint and Teams sites, modernize dashboards into Power BI, and bring greater consistency and automation to our reporting. You'll gather requirements, understand end goals, and translate them into effective solutions.

Pay Range: $22.50 - $23.50 - $24.50 Hourly
Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.

Your Responsibilities
- Assist with Operational Excellence projects that support the enterprise strategy and help the team advance key roadmap initiatives.
- Help gather requirements, understand desired outcomes, and support the development of practical solutions.
- Contribute to updating and rebuilding Power BI dashboards.
- Help maintain documentation, workflows, and process initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, initiative, and proactive problem‑solving in a fast‑paced and busy team environment.
- Create clear, easy‑to‑understand written summaries, visuals, or presentations that explain project findings and recommendations.
Requirements
To be considered for this internship, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be enrolled in an educational program for the duration of the internship.
- Completed at least one year (2 semesters or credits equivalent) by the start of the internship.
- Undergraduate student in a relevant field
- Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and a customer service orientation
- Willingness to take initiative and learn new concepts and technical skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including being on-site at least 2 days per week.
