Position Description
Job Summary
All States Materials Group is seeking a dependable Crack Seal Laborer to assist with pavement maintenance and crack sealing operations. This role supports the crack seal crew by preparing pavement surfaces, operating hand tools and equipment, and maintaining a safe, efficient job site. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, hardworking, and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with crack sealing operations including cleaning, routing, sealing, and finishing cracks
- Operate hand tools, air compressors, blowers, and crack sealing equipment under supervision
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment
- Set up and remove traffic control devices and cones as required
- Perform job site cleanup and general labor duties
- Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies
- Work closely with crew members, drivers, and supervisors to meet daily production goals
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Compensation & Regulatory Compliance
- Prevailing Wage: When assigned to projects subject to prevailing wage requirements, employees will be compensated in accordance with applicable federal, state, or local prevailing wage laws.

Qualifications
- Prior construction, paving, or roadway maintenance experience preferred (not required)
- Willingness to learn crack sealing equipment and techniques
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and physical.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, touch/feel objects, reach with hands & arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl, see, hear, talk & listen.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds (with assistance) and 50 pounds (without assistance).
- While performing duties of this job, employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
