Overview
EagleView, the leader in aerial imagery, is hiring an Image Correction Manager to our team. The Image Correction (IC) Manager is one of three members of the Photogrammetric Production department’s leadership team. Along with the Aerial Triangulation (AT) and LiDAR Managers, the IC Manager facilitates the production of high-end ortho imagery and R&D on new product initiatives and technologies.
Responsibilities
The IC Manager is primarily responsible for meeting IC production timeframes through appropriate assignment and tracking of individual tasks to members of the IC production team. The IC Manager is responsible for monitoring of the progress of IC task assignments and providing direct communication to Project Management as to project status through regular reporting. The IC Manager is responsible for ensuring the consistency of deliverables through the maintenance of procedures, documents, and the coordination of IC production staff training.
The IC Manager serves as the technical lead and primary point of contact for communications for the IC team within the Photogrammetric department regarding new initiatives, scripting, establishing new technical procedures, and increasing production efficiencies to support production. Adjustments to Photogrammetric products and services will be discussed and agreed upon by Photogrammetric Management, the Product Team, and Project Management Organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Daily oversight of the Photogrammetric IC team, to include management, review, and corrective action for team members. An IC Manager is expected to have 5 to 15 direct reports during their tenure
- Backup support for the Photogrammetric Aerial Triangulation (AT) and LiDAR managers
- Set schedule, staffing, and priority for all Photogrammetric projects IC and deliverable generation so that 90% of projects are completed within the nominally scheduled timeframe, and no project exceeds 130% of the scheduled time
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Senior Photogrammetric Manager on resource projections and project scheduling
- Where a conflict exists in the current production queue, present enough information to allow project management to reprioritize jobs based on contractual requirements and customer expectations
- Notify Project Management of any items or issues which adversely affect a project’s schedule and provide a plan for resolution
- Validate existing QA/QC procedures and facilitate the development of new processes that can be maintained by the Photogrammetric managers and training staff to ensure that all customer deliverables are produced in a manner that will meet customer expectations and reduce edit calls after delivery
- Advise the development of and approve revisions to existing procedures to improve the quality, accuracy, and reduce the production time for Photogrammetric projects
- Create and approve new workflows associated with the development of new products
- Assure that all relevant status updates are made to QuickBase and Power BI reports and work blocks so that the IC workforce’s daily production is correctly reported
- Supervise and update the QuickBase and Power BI reports and dashboards necessary to facilitate the weekly status meeting between the Photogrammetric production managers, project managers, and other production staff
- Work with the Photogrammetric trainers to mentor/coach less experienced members of the department
- Establish that new staff are trained in IC procedures so that they can be self-sufficient within 120 days of hire
- Provide support to the Photogrammetric department to troubleshoot advanced IC issues
- Serve as the Technical Lead and primary Point of Contact for ‘Photogrammetric’ projects and new initiatives involving the Image Corrections process or changes in image accuracy
- Support for the sales department, internal staff, and customers as a resource for technical discussions and validation of project requirements
- Stay current with modern technologies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Preferred Experience:
- Extensive experience with and a deep understanding of process improvement cycles, as well as concepts of kaizen and lean production
- Resourcefulness and proven problem-solving skills
- Experience with product testing and R&D
- Consistently a top performer with a history of generating high-quality, error-free work
- Has a proactive approach while initiating troubleshooting and exploratory process improvement
- Able to lead discussions and meetings between departments and management staff
