Real World Evidence Research Analytics Intern

The Veradigm Real World Evidence (RWE) team is currently seeking a Research Analytics (RA) intern to complement its growing team of healthcare analysts, programmers, and researchers to collaborate on retrospective and prospective electronic health record (EHR) and administrative claims database analyses. As a member of the RWE team, the Intern will participate in research projects end-to-end, assisting the RA team with tasks such as project management, preparing project kickoff slide decks, writing analysis plans, researching and compiling medical and drug code sets, reviewing study results, and writing final reports.

Overview

The RA intern will assist more senior members of the RA team on project-related tasks such as conducting background research (e.g., literature searches), writing analysis plans, compiling lists of medical and drug codes, performing quality assurance on programming output, formatting and otherwise making client-ready study deliverables, writing final reports, taking internal and external project meeting minutes and other project management-related tasks.

Responsibilities

Research:

  • Assist in the development study protocols
  • Research and compile medical and drug code sets required to perform EHR and administrative claims studies
  • Assist in the preparation of study deliverables for client presentation (e.g., final reports, slide decks)
  • Review and format tables of descriptive results and statistical model outputs to ensure client-readiness

Project Management:

  • Assist project management in terms of progress tracking, meeting summaries and scheduling.
  • Attend all internal team/external client meetings and record meeting minutes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study (health sciences, health economics, public health, epidemiology, or other quantitative discipline).
  • Exceptional writing skills and ability to synthesize information from a body of scientific literature.
  • Outstanding critical thinking, questioning, and listening skills; superior attention to detail
  • Time management skills for managing multiple individual and team tasks simultaneously while completing work within allocated time frames
  • Applicants should be ready to work in a highly collaborative environment

Travel Requirements:

No travel required.

Working Arrangements:

Work can be performed in a standard office environment or remotely in a home office setting.

Intern program begins May 18th and ends August 7th.

Compensation Range:

$20-$30
