As the WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR, you will safely assist with managing and overseeing the daily operations of the Warehouse to obtain optimum use of facilities, equipment, and personnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Supervise the work to be accomplished on the assigned shift.  
  2. This is a field based role requiring consistent presence in customer accounts throughout the day during designated standard business hours to work alongside direct reports to provide real time coaching, identify growth opportunities, to model best practices, and to ensure customer satisfaction.
  3. Supervise and schedule warehouse team members. Interview job candidates, provide training, offer coaching and feedback, and assist management in assessment of team member performance.
  4. Conduct regular team member work-withs to observe work functions, solve problems, and increase team engagement.
  5. Utilize WMS and voice-pick technology to oversee inbound and outbound volume.  
  6. Maintain a cost-efficient warehouse operation with high standards of service delivery and accuracy
  7.  Assist with monitoring KPIs and hold team accountable for performance, job duties, and outcomes.
  8. Instruct team members on how to safely and efficiently receive, replenish, pick, wrap and load product.
  9. Identify process breakdowns and recommend improvements consistent with meeting safety, quality and productivity goals.     
  10. Oversee all aspects of safety including adherence to OSHA regulations and CBC internal safety guidelines. Monitor employee work habits to ensure proper lifting, ergonomics, proper use of equipment, and safe storage.  Address and report any unsafe behaviors immediately.  Participate in accident investigations.
  11. Ensure that work processes are performed properly to maintain accurate inventory levels and minimize damage and out of date write-offs.
  12. Ensure proper inspection and preventive maintenance of material handling equipment.  Reports any issues to the Safety and Asset Protection Manager.
  13.  Provide retraining for forklift accidents and ensure compliance with forklift certification requirements.
  14.  All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Possess Associate’s degree and three years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

  1. Possess knowledge of material handling, warehouse operations, and OSHA regulations.

 

  1. Possess basic mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, use whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Possess the ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.

 

  1. Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, bar graphs, and procedure manuals.

 

  1. Possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondence; possess the ability to speak before employees.

 

  1. Possess ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Possess the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

  1. Possess the ability to perform physical work. 

 

  1. Possess computer skills requiring knowledge of Microsoft Office, RAS, and WMS.

 

  1. Possess forklift certification.

 

  1. Possess the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Directly supervises 10-20 employees in the Warehouse Department across multiple shifts. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include traditional manager responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. This position may require you to take calls and respond to emails or texts before and after designated standard business hours for urgent business use.


 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Regularly/constantly (>66% of workday)

Employees must regularly/constantly walk, stand, lift/carry up to 160 pounds (kegs), reach knee to shoulder.

Frequently (34-66% of workday)

Employees must frequently lift one-handed, push/pull with force up to 25 pounds (carts), reach below knee, reach above shoulder, handle, grasp, hear, and see.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, eye-hand coordination, acuity, and ability to adjust focus.  

 

Occasionally (<34% of workday)

Employees must occasionally sit, climb, balance, twist of trunk, finger/pinch, talk, and have color vision.
