We have a full-time Youth & Family Skills Coach role open on our new Treatment & Foster Care team. This role will be working directly with youth & families in the Bismarck, ND community.

Position Summary: As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Youth and Family Skills Coach will provide skills services in the treatment of children, adults, and/or families as prescribed in the client’s developed treatment plan as directed and supported by the Clinical Supervisor

Schedule/Pay/Location:
- On-site (community based) in Bismarck, ND
- Some flexibility in scheduling based upon client needs
- Monday-Friday work schedule
- $20-$22 hourly

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assists clients in using age-appropriate self-management skills, including communication, self-regulation, self-help skills, play, social, and relationship skills.
- Provides de-escalation and therapeutic supports as needed with clients.
- Notifies and collaborates with Clinical Supervisor in case of crises and emergencies.
- Completes clinical documentation in compliance with program expectations; demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills to generate and support program documentation expectations and standards.
- Attends and participates in clinical supervision and team case consultation meetings in accordance with program expectations.
- Completes education and training experiences in accordance with program expectations.
- Ensures minimum hours of direct services as assigned.
- Maintains compliance with all agency, state, and regulatory standards and remain compliant with all HIPAA regulations.
- Assists in implementing responses to youth behavior and other skills deficits according to the developed treatment plan.
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Must have completed 2,000 hours of supervised clinical experience delivering clinical services to treat mental health and emotional disturbances with a trauma focus
- Some experience working with at-risk youth and families
- Must successfully pass a DHS/DCFS/CJIS/DHHS/ODHS or other federal and state criminal background check
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry skills required
- Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must meet state regulating agency and Nexus Home Office driving requirements
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree or above in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university
- Knowledge of family-based philosophy and practice
- Experience in related community-based work, working with families, youth, and trauma exposed children and adolescents

Travel: Regular travel to family homes, community sites, other agencies, etc.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop and/or laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.
Physical demands:
· Must be able to assist staff in physical interventions and restraints of clients
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance
· Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time (2-4 hours)
· Must be able to twist, bend and stretch in a manner conducive to the execution of daily activities within a residential treatment facility
Expected Hours of Work: Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with the expectation to work specific schedules and hours as identified and communicated by management. Must have flexibility for evening or potentially weekend hours.
