Overview

The AI Developer will design, develop, and integrate artificial intelligence solutions in support of ITA’s mission through the AI Center of Excellence (AICoE). This role emphasizes handson development of AI models, data analysis, and integration of AI capabilities into production systems within a secure federal IT environment.

*This position is contingent upon contract award.*



Responsibilities

  • Design and develop AI models, algorithms, and applications to solve missiondriven problems.
  • Preprocess, analyze, and manage large datasets in collaboration with data and product teams.
  • Implement machine learning and deep learning frameworks.
  • Finetune and optimize AI models for performance, scalability, and accuracy.
  • Integrate AI models into enterprise and cloudbased production systems.
  • Document code, models, algorithms, and development processes.
  • Support testing, deployment, and ongoing operations of AI solutions.
  • Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
  • Stay current with emerging AI technologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship (required). MUST have a NACI or higher background investigation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience.
  • Experience developing AI or machine learning solutions.
  • Proficiency in at least one AI/ML programming framework.
  • Experience working with large datasets and data preprocessing techniques.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in AI, Data Science, or related field.
  • Experience integrating AI models into production systems.
  • Experience with cloudbased AI development environments.
  • Knowledge of DevOps or MLOps practices.
  • Experience supporting federal government or public sector IT programs.
  • Familiarity with application security and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or similar delivery management tools.

Work Location: Remote work preferred with occasional onsite support in Washington, DC, as required.
