SCOPEANALYST - MARKET INTELLIGENCE
The Analyst - Market Intelligence is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting commodity markets, packaging inputs, fuel, and freight cost drivers to support procurement strategy, risk mitigation, and cost control. This role delivers forward-looking data-driven insights, pricing forecasts, and market outlooks to guide sourcing decisions and executive planning. The Analyst focuses on visibility, trend interpretation, and proactive risk identification across food ingredients, packaging and logistics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESANALYST - MARKET INTELLIGENCE
Market Monitoring & Analysis
  • Monitor and analyze global market trends for food raw materials, packaging, and logistics, including meat, dairy, vegetables, grains, oils, plastics, linerboard, diesel, gasoline, natural gas, and energy markets.
  • Track pricing movements and supply/demand fundamentals using recognized industry data sources.
  • Develop short- and long-term forecasts to support procurement strategy and risk mitigation.
  • Identify emerging risks related to weather, geopolitical events, logistics, regulatory shifts, or supply disruptions.
  • Monitor commodity volatility and recommend timing strategies for buys or contract coverage.
Reporting & Forecasting
  • Build and maintain dashboards, pricing models, and benchmark indexes.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly market intelligence reports.
  • Present market outlooks to Purchasing, Finance, and Operations leadership.
  • Support budget planning and standard cost modeling with forecast data.
Data & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers, brokers, and data providers to ensure accurate market intelligence.
  • Partner with Purchasing to support strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Provide scenario modeling for “what-if” pricing and coverage strategies.
  • Support supplier negotiations with fact-based cost modeling.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTSANALYST - MARKET INTELLIGENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Business, Food Science, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years in market intelligence, commodity analysis, or strategic sourcing analytics.
  • Experience with market data platforms and forecasting tools.
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and dashboard development skills.
  • This position is an onsite position.
