The Shop/Yard Worker is responsible for ensuring supplies and small equipment are delivered to the jobsites whether they are in house supplies or need picked up from a vendor. The Yard Worker should work closely with shop management for guidance on where tools and/or consumables should be taken. Strong communication with appropriate Adena personnel to reduce duplicate traffic patterns with equipment transport.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

1. Delivers in stock supplies to the jobsites
2. Picks up supplies from vendors and deliver to the jobsites or to the shop
3. Delivers equipment to and from jobsites(skid loaders,excavators,scissor lifts, etc.)
4. Responsible for checking tools and inventory in and out based on field request
5. Maintains overall shop and yard appearance, organization and cleanliness
6. Campus landscape upkeep including mowing
7. Pressure washing fleet vehicles along with heavy equipment
8. Inspecting and greasing incoming/outgoing equipment
9. Cleans and maintains tools
10. Assist mechanics as needed
11. Assists management as needed
12. Adheres to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

1. High School Diploma or GED required
2. Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform duties of the role
3. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
4. Good knowledge of methods, materials and tools
5. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
6. Ability to operate equipment (skid loaders, excavators,scissor lifts and tools in a safe and responsible manner
7. Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
8. Must be self-motivated
9. Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust
10. Excellent communication skills
11. Ability to multitask
12. Must be open to all tasks that arise
13. Must be able to lift to 50lbs
14. Must have experience pulling trailers
15. Ability to work in a team environment
