Production Manager

General Summary:

The Production Manager assists in leading the shop fabrication team to meet production schedules, goals, and needs of the company. They will be responsible for interacting with multiple aspects of the business on a day-to-day basis to ensureefficiency and collaboration.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

1. Be the daily liaison betweenshop employees, management, HR & Safety
2. Responsible for bringingon new talent and reviewing performance
3. Work with developing and training new employees
4. Assist with load planning and coordination between the shop, purchasing, project managers, yard personnel and shipping to meet projectschedule & deliveryneeds
5. Help maintain production schedule & track projects progressthrough the shop
6. Utilize the employees and equipment as necessaryto maintain production schedule
7. Be consistent with proper AISC documentation and shop training
8. Review shop drawingsand assist employees with questions & inspections
9. Implement Tekla and other software as necessary
10. Schedule yearly inspectins and preventative maintenance
11. Other duties as assigned

Production Manager

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

1. High School Diplomaor GED required
2. Applicable work experience & fabrication experience required
3. Ability to read blueprints
4. Ability to conceptualize abstract or incomplete ideas
5. High attention to detail
6. Experience using a computer (Microsoft Suite, Bluebeam, CAD, ProNest, Peddimat Vista by Viewpoint a plus)
7. Excellent written and verbal communication
8. Ability to work in a team environment
9. Time management and abilityto prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
10. Self-starter with good work ethic and dependability
11. Structural steel knowledge
