Responsibilities
- Lead fabric development projects from concept through execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goalsDrive textile R&D initiatives to support innovation, enhance product performance, and expand our fabric portfolioDevelop and maintain engineering documentation, including textile specifications, test methods, and process standardsCollaborate with textile vendors to understand and improve their processes as well as develop fabrics that meet Lutron’s world class performance standardsApply statistical analysis to diagnose and resolve fabric-related technical issues, identify root causes, and propose actionable recommendations Work cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and operations teams to support both new product introductions and existing product improvementsContinuously improve processes for greater efficiency, reliability, and scalability across textile development workflowsChampion safety and compliance, ensuring all activities adhere to internal standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Design, or related field
- Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for all degrees earned
- 4+ years of experience in the textile industry (onsite textile manufacturing experience is a plus)
- Willingness and ability to travel globally up to 15% of the time to Textile Suppliers and Lutron’s manufacturing facilities
