Research Assistant Professor (Full-Time, Non-Tenure)

The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Radiology is recruiting for a qualified imaging research assistant professor to assist with clinical and research imaging analysis. This will be a full-time Research Assistant Professor appointment supporting the department's MR Research Center and Children's Hospital.

The Research Assistant Professor will work with the clinical faculty and researchers on implementing, evaluating, and developing novel MRI analysis techniques for human MRIs with an emphasis on advanced fetal, placental, and functional brain imaging. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Job responsibilities include:

• Develop or identify quantitative tools for imaging data processing, including diffusion, anatomic, and BOLD fMRI.

• Oversee data quality assurance/quality control to maintain the integrity of experimental data.

• Provide scientific and technical assistance to researchers and faculty.

• Assist researchers and faculty to implement image analysis pipelines.

A successful candidate should have the following qualifications:

- Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics or a related field

- Experience working with fetal, placental, and brain quantitative MRI data is preferred

- Demonstrated excellent organizational, project management, and written/oral communication skills are required.

- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
