The Associate Director for Budget and Finance in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences (DSAS) and College of General Studies (CGS) will have oversight responsibility for all financial accounting, budgeting, and reporting, and will partner with the Senior Director for Budget and Finance to oversee a team dedicated to creating an environment committed to process improvement. The Associate Director will oversee all day-to-day accounting functions within both DSAS and CGS; develop and distribute detailed financial statements and budget variance analyses; and coordinate and manage the annual budget process. The position will work closely with and support the school’s Department Chairs, unit Directors, Senior Staff team, and division and departmental staff to develop budgets in alignment with school-level goals, to oversee all internal audits, and address all accounting and compliance issues. The Associate Director will supervise central financial staff and develop and implement training for fiscal personnel across the school.
Job Summary
Oversees financials, budgets, and budgetary actions and modifications; prepares for and coordinates audit schedules. Mitigates complex financial and accounting issues. Assists in development of strategic plan.
Essential Functions
Use of personal computer, telephone, fax machine, and copier; ability to read and interpret detailed financial reports, input budgets into system, approve OneCard, PantherExpress, Oracle/PRISM, and Concur transactions in software systems.
Physical Effort
Frequent mobility across campus is required (as necessary) as Dietrich School and CGS units are located within multiple buildings across campus.

Hiring Range: $85,000 to $90,000 per year
