E-Commerce:
The E-Commerce department is a branch of the retail division, responsible for managing and maintaining Goodwill SWPA's presence and participation in online sales through Goodwill's e-commerce platform. ShopGoodwill.com is the first online sales and auction site created, owned and operated by a non-profit organization. Stores in Goodwill's SWPA region are among the more than 130 Goodwill organizations from around the United States and Canada that list and auction unique items on the site. Like Goodwill's retail stores, revenue generated by online sales support the Goodwill mission to help people overcome challenges in building skills, finding jobs and growing their careers through the power of work.
Position Summary:
The E-Commerce Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Goodwill SWPA’s e-commerce facility, overseeing the full workflow from inbound and sorting through listing, shipping, and warehouse management. This role leads a multi-functional team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality processing of donated goods for multiple online platforms (including ShopGoodwill and eBay), supporting a growing e-commerce business. This Leader owns facility scheduling, staffing, and daily execution; drives productivity and quality; and champions operational excellence and continuous improvement. This role works closely with the Director of E-Commerce and other leaders across Retail, Donations, Supply Chain, and Finance to align operations with Goodwill’s mission and strategic goals.
Responsibilities:

- Oversee day-to-day e-commerce facility operations.
- Lead, develop, and schedule the e-commerce operations team.
- Drive performance, quality, and customer experience.
- Manage warehouse layout, inventory flow, and safety.
- Use data and continuous improvement to drive operational excellence.

- Uphold and enforce Goodwill of Southwestern PA’s policies and procedures.
Status: Regular, Full-time, Exempt
Location: E-Commerce - 118 52nd Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201
External Hiring Range: $50,000 - $60,000 per annum
Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and 5+ years relevant experience OR
- Associates Degree in Business, Management, or related field AND 3+ years relevant experience OR.
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Management, or related field AND 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience taking on full responsibility for daily operations.
- Direct supervisory experience of multi-level teams (Assistant Managers, Supervisors, etc).
- Knowledgeable and experienced in managing budgets and production targets.
- Strong preference for experience in leading performance improvement, training, or team development.
- Experience in community engagement or donor relationship building is preferred.
Required Clearances, Licenses, an Certifications:
- Qualified candidates must have a valid driver's license for regional travel.
- Candidates are expected to provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to their first day of employment.
