Don's Prepared Foods is the leading manufacturer on the East Coast of prepared gourmet deli salads, gourmet cream cheese spreads, dips, entrée’s and more. 

Don's is a family-owned business and manufactures over 130 products spanning across its three brands Don's Salads, Melanie's Medleys and Artisan Deli. 

We are seeking a Spice Weigher to join the Production department at our Schwenksville, PA food manufacturing plant. The is an hourly, non-exempt position that starts at 5AM from Monday-Friday with flexible end times according to production needs. Candidates who are dedicated, consistent, and organized with a background in production or a manufacturing environment are strongly encouraged to apply. 

Spice Weigher: 5AM, Monday-Friday (must be flexible with start and end times).

• Weigh and prepare spices for daily production.
• Pull and label ingredients.
• Avoid cross contamination of allergens. 
• Assist with preparing customer samples.
• Maintain accurate documentation and report work in ERP system. 
• Assist the Production department as needed. 
• *Must have a basic understanding of spice names, ability to follow recipes and understand portions, and understand English.

Competencies:

• Ability to follow established procedures.
• Must ensure their own safe and clean work environment.
• Must be able to follow recipe instructions and use a computer tablet to document process/ingredients used.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and use a calculator

Requirements 

• Must be able to lift 40 to 50 pounds.
• Employee stands for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in cold or warm environments.
