The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Villanova University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Biochemistry in the lab of Dr. Dan Kraut. The position is renewable for up to three years and intended for candidates interested in an academic career at a primarily undergraduate (or master’s-granting) institution.

Techniques commonly used in the lab include cloning, protein purification, enzyme kinetics and fluorescence. Additional opportunities to pursue independent research interests may be provided. There will be significant mentoring of undergraduate and master’s research students.

The candidate will also teach four courses/laboratories per year in biochemistry and other disciplines, with occasional opportunities at the graduate level.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Ph.D. in biochemistry or related area
