Each year Villanova University invites a scholar both to engage in their own research and to make it available to the University community by participating in conversations with faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and other scholars in this region. The year stipend for The Imbesi Family Fellow is $40,000. Medical benefits are provided by Villanova University on a month-by-month basis. The Augustinian Institute rents a house for the semester – a benefit that is subject to federal tax law as imputed income to the Fellow. Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. | Duties and Responsibilities: | The responsibilities of the recipient of the Imbesi Family Fellowship include cooperation in the work of the Augustinian Institute, as well as 1 colloquium with faculty/graduate students on some aspect of Augustine’s thought or influence, and regular availability to the Villanova community (e.g., office hours). |
| Minimum Qualifications: | This position is to be filled by a scholar who is either an ABD or who has a doctoral degree, but is not yet a tenured member of a university faculty. |
