The Business Manager assists in developing and implementing the Villanova Theatre and Studio Department’s (VTD) performance and departmental operating budgets, in accordance with Villanova’s accounting policies and procedures. These budgets include production, academic, restricted, endowed, and undergraduate student theatre groups (Villanova Student Theatre (VST) and Villanova Student Musical Theatre (VSMT)). This position is responsible for all budget creation and expense tracking of each Theatre performance, including student co-curricular groups. They will manage and coordinate the day-to-day accounting, purchasing, processing, and billing activities, such as credit card handling/reconciliation and payroll processing, deposits, and reimbursements. Additional functions include monthly financial review, analysis, and coordination with the VTD Chairperson. This position also works closely with the finance leadership team in the College of Liberal Arts and Science (CLAS), providing quarterly financial updates as well as a detailed reconciliation of each theater performance. Responsible for providing strategic and analytical support to the VTD leadership team. The Business Manager will hold strict confidentiality and maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. They manage the VTD accounting system to include time and attendance, POS, PMS, credit cards and accounting software. They establish and audit internal financial controls and ensure all accounting policies and procedures follow generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP) and the University’s Accounting policies and procedures. | Salary Posting Information: | This position falls within salaried grade 14 and the range for this position is $57,200-71,500. The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate’s qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity. |
