Job Description:

Utility Crew Lead Position is responsible for maintaining all work areas, dishes, floors, and utensils. Supervision of utility crew while acting as a working lead.

Essential Functions/Characteristics

  • Interacts professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.
  • Performs quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
  • Works effectively as a team leader on all assignments.
  • Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.

Cleaning Services

  • Collects sorts and washes dishes. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans. Sweeps and mops floors.

Compliance

  • Complies with all sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements.

Leadership

  • Works as a contact between utility crew and management.

Sanitation

  • Assists in back dock organization and proper trash & waste receptacle treatment.
  • Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.

Set up and Preparation

  • Assists with the set up of special events or additional kitchen spaces.
  • Distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.

Additional Functions

  • This position directly supervises and is responsible for working in a team and completing tasks in a group setting.

$500 signing bonus after a 4-month satisfactory probationary period is completed

  • Ability to use a timekeeping system to properly record time worked for payroll processing.
  • Ability to follow instructions from multiple managers, chefs, and supervisors.
  • Ability to work in a group/team and function efficiently.
  • Possess the ability to meet unit-specific uniform standards for this position.
  • Utilize all Personal Protective Equipment's per Dining's guidelines.
  • Wear a cut-resistance glove whenever using a sharp or potentially sharp tool or instrument.
  • Ability to follow all Dining health and safety standards and requirements.
