CNC Plate Cutting Operator/CNC Operator


This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce accurate, high-quality parts in accordance with technical drawings and specifications. The position includes monitoring machine performance, troubleshooting issues, performing inspections, adjusting programs or processes, and cross-training to load and run files on waterjet, plasma, and/or laser cutting tables using machine software. The employee will also safely handle materials, maintain a clean and organized work area, and follow all company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.




How You Will Help



  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to ensure precise machining.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation and programming.
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machines to ensure optimal operation.
  • Monitor machine operation and adjust programs as needed to optimize performance.
  • Continuously improve machining processes for efficiency and quality.
  • Use crane, dollies and carts to obtain and return material to and from storage area and move completed job to next operation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety and housekeeping protocols.
  • Follow all established safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures related to machine operation, safety, and quality control.
  • Ensure a safe and compliant work environment, reporting any safety hazards or deviations from standard practices.
  • Identify and assist in remediation of any and all safety hazards in the workplace.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Team Leader/Supervisor


What You Will Have



  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Experience with CAD Design
  • Able to travel to customer job sites to perform in-field machining operations.
  • Must be able to use measuring equipment such as measuring tapes, verniers and calipers, and read gauges.
  • Must be able to be certified to operate a forklift and use hoists to pick up heavy parts.
  • General computer skills, experience in Autocad and / or nesting (Columbus) software a plus.
