Cloud Infrastructure Business Analyst

Core4ce is seeking an experienced Business Analyst and technical writer to support cloud infrastructure and DevOps teams on a Defense Health Agency (DHA) program. This role is responsible for translating complex technical concepts into clear, accurate, and compliant documentation supporting cloud platforms, DevSecOps pipelines, and enterprise IT services within a regulated DoD environment.

Key Responsibilities: Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation for cloud and DevOps environments, including:

System architecture documents

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Runbooks and operational guides

Installation, configuration, and deployment guides

Release notes and change documentation

Translate engineering, infrastructure, and security requirements into clear, consumable documentation for technical and non-technical audiences

Support documentation needs for DevSecOps pipelines, including CI/CD workflows, automation processes, and toolchains

Assist with documentation required for RMF, ATO, compliance audits, and inspections

Ensure documentation aligns with DoD, DHA, and organizational standards, templates, and style guides

Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with cloud engineers, DevOps engineers, cybersecurity teams, and program management

Maintain version control of documentation using approved collaboration and repository tools (e.g., Git-based platforms, SharePoint, Confluence)

Support proposal, transition, and onboarding documentation as requirede ideal candidate has experience documenting cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, security controls, and operational procedures, and is comfortable collaborating with engineers, architects, cybersecurity staff, and program leadership.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Ability to maintain a Secret security clearance 3+ years of experience as a business analyst and technical writer supporting IT, cloud, or software development teams

Demonstrated experience documenting cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or similar) and/or DevOps environments

Familiarity with:

CI/CD pipelines

Infrastructure-as-Code concepts

Containerization and platform services

Experience working in federal government or DoD environments

Strong ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and accurately

Proficiency with common documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Confluence, Markdown, diagramming tools)

Preferred Qualifications: Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Comfortable working with engineers and technical stakeholders

Able to manage multiple documentation deliverables in a fast-paced environment

Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable to evolving requirements
