JobJob Summary
Cedar International Services is seeking a reliable, customer-friendly Food Prep & Stocking Assistant to support our small cafeteria team on a federal facility. This part-time role focuses on restocking shelves, assisting with simple food preparation, and helping the manager and head chef keep daily operations running smoothly. No late nights, no deep-kitchen experience required - we will train the right person.

This is a great job for someone who enjoys teamwork, steady work, and a clean, predictable environment.

What You'll Do
• Restock shelves, coolers, and supplies throughout the day
• Assist with basic food prep (chopping, portioning, assembling grab-and-go items)
• Keep work areas, counters, and equipment clean and organized
• Support meal service as needed during busy times
• Help with inventory and simple kitchen tasks
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and facility guidelines
• Provide friendly, helpful service to federal employees and guests
• Be a dependable member of a small, supportive team

What We're Looking For
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)
• Experience in food service or retail helpful, but we're happy to train
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team
• Good communication skills and reliable attendance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Must be able to pass federal background requirements for site access

Physical Requirements
• Standing for long periods
• Lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs
• Bending, reaching, and repetitive motion
