Staffing Pros, a division of VETS Inc., is recruiting for a full-time Remote Network Architect. An Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required for this role.
We are seeking a Network Architect / Cloud Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and manage the network connectivity between the Navy's on-premises Millington datacenter and AWS Cloud, including BITCE (Base Information Transfer and Communication Exchange) connection architecture. This role will ensure secure, reliable, and compliant network infrastructure supporting the full datacenter migration and disaster recovery operations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in network architecture and cloud infrastructure design
- Deep expertise in AWS networking services (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, Security Groups, NACLs, PrivateLink)
- Experience designing and implementing BITCE or similar DoD/Federal network interconnection architectures
- Strong understanding of DoD network security requirements, STIGs, and RMF/ATO processes
- Strong UNIX/Linux systems administration skills
- Proficiency in scripting with BASH, Python, and/or Perl for network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Experience with network segmentation, firewall rule management, and zero-trust architectures
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud connectivity patterns (site-to-site VPN, Direct Connect, SD-WAN)
- Experience with network diagrams, ATO documentation, and security boundary definitions
Nice to Have:
- Application-level knowledge of IBM Content Manager, Content Navigator, and WebSphere network requirements
- Experience with AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK for network infrastructure provisioning
- Experience with DISA circuit provisioning and cross-domain solutions
- AWS Advanced Networking – Specialty certification
- Experience with Active Directory integration in hybrid cloud environments
