Position Overview

New opening for a CWI for our new structural inspection service line! All applicants are required to have their CWI, NDT experience preferred. This is a per diem job! This is a full time union position - with free healthcare and benefits!

 

 

The main duties include:

  • Perform complete NDT field inspections based on customer requirements and procedures, JANX field procedures, focusing on quality and safety

  • Perform advanced field inspections such as CWI in the crane and structural inspection markets, based on customer requirements and procedures, JANX field procedures and being able to fully operate and interpret results based on advanced NDT methods.

  • Ensure all equipment is set up, calibrated, and functional at all times in line with JANX and customer procedures.

  • Operate advanced NDT equipment including calibration, field execution and basic troubleshooting to ensure compliance and quality at all times while performing work.

  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications, both conventional and advanced NDT.

Pay range for this job is $50.39 based on the current Collective Bargaining Agreement and  is a general guideline only for States that enforces pay transparency and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, certifications, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.



Education and Work Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • + 2 years of CWI experience required. 

  • NDT (MT/UT) training an experience also a plus but not required.

  • Experience in inspections for the structural inspection markets, AWS D1.1, required. 

  • High-Strength Bolting experience required / ICC cert a plus.

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.



Certificates and Licenses Required



  • AWS CWI Required.

  • Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under Company insurance program.
