Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this role has accountability for manufacturing performance across all North America facilities, including Temple, Fletcher, Specialty, Adhesives, Solid Surface, Klamath Falls, Oxford, Wetwall, and Durcon.This role is accountable for plant-level execution and results across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The primary focus of the role is driving manufacturing efficiency, lean execution, and disciplined cost-out and maintenance across a complex, multi-site footprint to ensure reliable, safe, and productive operations.As a central leader in Wilsonarts transformation journey, the Head of North America Manufacturing will embed Lean manufacturing principles, standard work, reliable equipment practices, and operational rigor across all plants, ensuring consistent execution, improved productivity, increases asset uptime, and scalable manufacturing capability in support of the companys growth strategy.Key Responsibilities Lead all North America manufacturing operations with accountability for safety, quality, service, cost, and productivity outcomes.
Drive a step-change in operational performance across all facilities, with measurable improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) metrics.
Champion Lean Manufacturing principles, including standard work, value stream optimization, waste elimination, and visual management.
Lead aggressive cost-out initiatives through labor productivity, material yield improvement, asset utilization, and process simplification.
Drive maintenance excellence by strengthening preventive and predictive maintenance practices, improving equipment reliability and uptime, and embedding maintenance discipline as a core element of Lean operations.
Establish a culture of continuous improvement, daily management, and operational discipline across all plants.Leadership Capabilities Execution-Focused: Drives results through clear priorities, disciplined execution, and performance management.
Lean Change Leader: Deep practitioner of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Cost & Margin Minded: Strong commercial and financial acumen with a relentless focus on cost, productivity, and ROI.
People-Centered Leader: Builds high-performing teams and develops leaders who drive sustainable results.
Hands-On Operator: Comfortable on the plant floor; leads by example and through direct engagement.
Resilient & Transformational: Thrives in complex, fast-changing environments and leads with urgency and confidence.Preferred Experience 15+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including multi-site responsibility in a discreet manufacturing environment.
Proven success leading manufacturing transformations and operational turnarounds.
Deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and cost-out execution.
Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing environments; building materials or related industries preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams across multiple locations.
Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and operational performance metrics.
